Ground Transportation

By Bus

You can travel to San Miguel on a luxury bus from Mexico City - the trip takes around 4 hours and departs from Mexico City's northern bus terminal. If you don't want to travel across Mexico City from the airport to the bus terminal, you can board a bus from Mexico City's airport to Queretaro, where you can change and board a second bus to San Miguel.

By Car

Driving to San Miguel is very fast and efficient with the roads and toll roads that connect the region.

Car Rental

To explore Mexico's colonial towns and cities, consider renting a car for your visit. Having your own car will give you more flexibility than using public transport options and, in some cases, offer you access to places which are otherwise difficult to visit without the use of it. You’ll feel a world away from everything when you escape to the highlands of central Mexico for innovative restaurants, traditions, art, hospitality, centuries-old history, and stunning architecture.

From Our Guestbook

My husband and I spent so much time planning our wedding that we wanted to have a honeymoon where would could go and relax and be taken care of and our hosts, Christina and Gary, at Casa de los Chiqueados went above and beyond to take such good care of us. The room was absolutely beautiful and we were greeted to two towel swans that were made up as a bride and groom and rose petals on our bed. SO ADORABLE! The amenities were amazing and the decorations were beautiful, but also made you feel comfortable and so at home. The attention to detail was top notch. The location is perfect. You are near everything. And if there is something that you need, the staff is more than happy to help assist. The stay was amazing and our host were even more amazing. They make you feel like family and make you want to return again very soon! Thank you Gary and Christina for making the honeymoon of our dreams come true!
