I spend a month in this very efficient, cozy and luxurious apartment. It is perfect for a single person, in a great location close to centro and with wonderful staff happy to help with just about anything. The other apartments were all occupied by Canadian women who were great company. If I didn't have a dog, I could happily spend several months there.

The panoramic views, the natural airflow were far beyond what we expected. Everything worked out perfectly! Honestly, this place is a best-kept secret. It was one of the best trips we've taken. There is so much more to do in San Miguel de Allende, that we must come back soon.

Though we live just a few miles outside of Centro in San Miguel my husband surprised me with a stay in this incredible property for our anniversary. It could not have been more perfect! They went above and beyond to make our stay so fabulously special, the care and service were outstanding and the B & B is gorgeous with an exquisite attention to detail. Very quiet but a great location for easily accessing everything in Centro. Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable. Can't wait for an excuse to come again! I couldn't recommend it more highly.

San Miguel is a wonderful city to visit, and staying at Casa de los Chiqueados made the visit that much more special. The location is great, on a quiet residential street but just a few minutes walk to the center of town. San Miguel is a safe city and I felt very comfortable walking to and from the Jardin day and night to visit all of the wonderful shops and restaurants. The accommodations themselves are really beautiful, and such a great value for the price. The decor is warm and welcoming with so many unique touches. The owner has an amazing attention to detail to really make her guests feel welcome, and really goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and enjoying your stay. I can't wait to return to San Miguel and Casa de los Chiqueados!

Casa de los Chiqueados is a wonderful property in San Miguel I rented the Esmeralda unit for April, one bedroom, large bath, seating area with fireplace big screen TV and a miniature full kitchen. The decor is amazing, Christina did an incredible job. It is really a beautiful property. Quite convenient and there were police all around and on the street everyday for those that are nervous about Mexico. The Jardin in about a 12 minute walk, the artisan market less than 10 minutes away and lots of great restaurants near by. I also was luck enough to have wonderful "casa mates" I met, we might meet for a glass of wine and conversation on the beautifully appointed roof terrace or just go roam around. The property owners Gary and Christina are awesome. The best place of its type I saw while in SMA.

We spent the month of February 2015 in Diamante, the 2 BR, 2 BA penthouse with private roof deck w/ gas barbecue. We loved it and tried to rent it for next year but it's already taken. We know San Miguel well, having visited for 45 years; built two homes; and lived here for 10 years. Now, we spend a few weeks or a month in a rental. We don't need the responsibility of ownership. We like this location! San Miguel is a walking town, and at 6500' elevation, takes some acclimatization when you arrive. However taxis are plentiful (unless it's raining) and inexpensive.
There are six units in Casa de Los Chiqueados, three studio apartments; one, one bedroom, and two, two bedroom units. We have only stayed in one, but have viewed all. The attention to detail by the owner is unsurpassed. Christina has put her heart and soul into this project and it shows in the art and general decor. The kitchen is beautifully equipped with quality pots and pans and sharp knives.
I would not recommend it for children, but for active adults, it's a great choice for a second honeymoon.
