Hellos and Goodbyes

Guestbook

Casa de los Chiqueados is a great place to stay. This luxury villa has everything you need in accommodations. The kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and living room were well decorated and comfortable. The rooftop terrace and private balcony were spacious, and provided great outdoor living. Christina and Gary were welcoming and helped us plan restaurants and activities.

We stayed at Casa De Los Chiqueados. It was immaculate, spacious and most of all comfortable. Beautiful art work and books, all long with professional design and architecture. Peaceful area and within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping and the plaza. We stayed in the Diamante Suite, and the staff was amazing. We are looking forward to our next stay there!

I have stayed twice at Casa de los Chiqueados, the most recent being for February and March of this year. Every room, nook and cranny is comfortable but exquisitely appointed. It is truly a luxury experience. Christine's imaginative eye has made every room comfortable but one is surrounded by her tasteful collection of Mexican art and artifacts. The kitchens are well outfitted, right down to electric juicers! Take that fresh juice and begin your day on the elegant rooftop patio. José and Rosa will listen to and look after your every need. The property is central, safe and within walking distance to main attractions and local markets and shopping. I personally recommend the coziness of the individual bachelor suites. You cannot go wrong whatever you choose.

Wow! This place is incredible! We've stayed in some pretty nice 5 star resorts. Casa de los Chiqueados surpasses them all in charm, comfort and the service provided by the staff and owners is unequaled to anything we've experienced.

To begin with, the architecture of the casa is stunning with so many small details taken care of. It is really quite impressive as has been noted by several architectural journals and travel writers.

Our unit, Diamante, was marvelous with stunning interior design. It has a private terrace with a grill for cooking. But our favorite part of the day was at sunset. We would prepare our margaritas, put Vivaldi on the c.d. player, listen to the church bells pealing all over the town and watch the sun go down. What drama! We had originally rented Diamante for three months, but had loved it so much that we were able to extend our visit to a fourth month before heading home to Hawaii.

The owners of the property are really just incredible. They go beyond extraordinary measures to care for the guests. We love SMA, Casa de los Chiqueados, the staff, and the total experience provided. Can't wait to return!

I had the pleasure to stay at Casa de los Chiqueados (translation...House of the Spoiled Ones) last month and it exceeded my expectations. It is perfectly located within the Centro, walking distance from the heart of San Miguel. The proprietor is a lovely American that learns your preferences before you arrive (and keeps records for her repeat guests. You are greeted with a welcome basket (in my case my favorite wine and fruits) and fresh flowers abound. It is amazingly decorated and has more amenities than one could ask for. I was delighted that the photos on their website were not only an accurate depiction, but even more breath taking than I expected. My best vacation place ever. I'll definitely be back next year!

We are staying in the Esmeralda suite. It’s so nice you don’t want to leave the room. It was filled with flowers and the decoration was incredibly done, elegant and comfortable. But when you do venture out you are just a couple of blocks away from the center of city. It’s an amazing place and we wish we could stay forever. The people, the shops, and the endless wonderful restaurants and cafes. And romance in the air everywhere. We will be back as soon as we can, and we found our new favorite place to stay when we are here.
