From Our Guestbook
We found ourselves in San Miguel at Casa de los Chiqueados as part of a local charity auction package. That should have been an early indicator of the type of personal involvement to be expected from our hosts Christina and Gary. From the many emails prior to our trip to the hand delivered notes to our unit from Christina during our stay, our stay and activities were meticulously planned and arranged without being overwhelming or pressured. Christina and Gary combine concierge level services expected of a fine hotel with true Southern hospitality. You leave feeling you've become part of their circle of family and friends. If the experiences with the hosts weren't enough, the accommodations and staff were also exceptional. The Diamante unit where we stayed was beautifully decorated and appointed with nearly every household item you'd need for a short or extended stay (I used the electric juicer almost daily and wondered why I never bothered to purchase one or why no other holiday rental ever bothered to supply one). Rosa and José Luis provided us with everything we needed on site and bless Rosa for being so patient with us in letting us in and out of the Casa when we couldn't figure out the front gate lock. The Casa is located within an easy walk to the market and Jardin and the associated shopping and restaurants. My only complaint would be not being able to stay longer!
